TV-channels Star!, Silver & Showtime for new South-African DTH platform of ODM will be aired from Estonian play-out by Levira.
An Estonian play-out and multimedia service provider Levira and Scandinavia based NonStop Television have signed an agreement for a play-out of 3 new tv-channels for South-African market from May 1st 2010. Levira’s one of Northern Europe’s most modern play-out centres will air Nonstop’s action movie channel Showtime, entertainment news channel Star! and quality film channel Silver for South African new DTH platform of On Digital Media (ODM).
Levira will provide full play-out service including ingest, QC, scheduling, play-out, monitoring, archiving and delivery of ready to broadcast signal to teleport in Germany. Brand new television operator On Digital Media (ODM) is to broadcast Showtime, Star! and Silver in South Africa, Swaziland and Lesotho. The channels will be launched together with the ODM platform on May 1st, prior to 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, starting in June.
Levira is a fast developing technical service provider for broadcast, multimedia and telecom industries. Levira’s state-of-the art, fully automated, multichannel play-out centre was commercially opened on September 1st 2007. Currently already 9 services are aired from Levira’s facilities in Tallinn and distributed over Baltic and Scandinavian markets.

Levira and NonStop Television started cooperation in 2007 when NonStop Televisions first HD channel Silver HD for Scandinavian market went live from Levira’s facilities. Current agreement is another milestone for both parties demonstrating a fruitful cooperation and ability to achieve new skies in the direct as well as vicarious meaning of the word.
